"I chose
to work at HIP because I like what HIP is doing. They
help the people who need it the most."
Jamie Tompson said when asked why he
decided to do volunteer work at HIP. Jamie Thompson
came to HIP as a 7th grade student at Thomas Russell
Middle School in Milpitas. He is now attending Santa
Cruz University on an Honors Scholarship. |
He first started volunteering for HIP at the age of 12
and returned each year to fulfill his school community service
requirement. His favorite color is orange and favorite animal
is the tiger. He enjoys snowboarding and playing basketball.
He also enjoys collecting things: especially rocks, coins
and game cards. Jamie is a serious Viking fan, as is his
whole family. They never miss a game. Jamie is a valued
volunteer who has assisted with brochure production, file
maintenance, and Accounts Payable. He worked with a team
of volunteers from HIP setting up for the 1999 Silicon Valley
Charity Ball. The work that Jamie does is greatly appreciated.
Hurray for Jamie!
